Embarking on my journey from a software engineer to a designer, I once believed that mastering the tools of the trade was the key to unlocking the realm of design. Night after night, I immersed myself in mastering the Adobe Creative Suite, later venturing into Sketch and Figma. Yet, I soon discovered that the tools were just the tip of the iceberg. A well-equipped toolbox wasn't enough to combat the daunting blank page or to enhance my existing designs.
